Hi All,

One question to a play which occured to us this weekend:

- bases loaded, 2 outs

- slow grounder to third baseball which is going after the runner which is between 2nd and 3rd base and therefore creating a run down situation.

- runner on 3rd scores

- runner which is stranded between 2nd and 3rd is tagged out by the third baseman. The batter in the box reached first safely before the tag is made on the runner between 2nd and 3rd.

Does the run count?

Thanks for your reply

Cheers

Robbert

No, all runners must successfully obtain the base to which they are forced.

No run in all codes of baseball
