What is so special about nike masks? Are they really that protective?

there is an invisible force field that will deflect the ball before it hits the frame as long as you keep the batteries charged.

I don't own one but I would imagine the cool factor, the lack of availability, the welding, how lightweight it is, and just the Nike name makes it oh soo special.
