Where did you find the effective dates? I don't see anything regarding the rule changes as being "effective" this year.

TKS. We just had a Board meeting last night and NOTHING was even mentioned about these! "Our" Opening day is this Saturday too!

I don't really care about most of this... I do like that the majority of LL doesn't have the coach's mentality of the stupid HBP/game rule... I wish that they would have taken on the speed up rule, that almost passed.

What affects you for this year? Nothing really changed for us at all, except that we'll allow the short model CPs for catchers.

Thank God they had some sense in respect to Items 10 and 12!

They both sound like horrible local LL rules.

From what I understand, that's exactly how it happens… A local league in the central, east, or south notices it's only in the local rules, not in the rule book (but should be gosh darn it!), they go to their pals in neighboring leagues and give enough people to say "Hey! That's a rule, right?? It should be!"… It goes before Congress and the West says something like "lol no".

Not sure what or how it will affect us since nobody knew about these at the Board meeting. I sent emails to all members for input and updates., so I guess I'll find out . . . it's just a matter of when.
