Looks like he could be the first Canadian since Jim McKean if he can go all the way. Of course McKean also played as a backup quarterback and punter in the CFL, and played in the Grey Cup. He worked some Jr. Hockey and apparently went to the NHL referee school and worked some College Hockey before attending umpire school. Good luck to Mr. Scheurwater in the coming years. Should be several future retirements coming up in the near future (5 years).
