Mid-American Umpire Clinic Announcement

Being that it's Veteran's Day, we'd like to announce that starting in 2014 the Mid-American Umpire Clinic will be extending a $25.00 discount to current and former military personnel.  We will have more details on our website once we are able to update it with the 2014 clinic information.

 

I can also confirm the dates for the 2014 clinic will be Sept. 4-7 in Springfield, Missouri.

 

We expect to have a few more announcements coming before the first of the year so stay tuned...

I went this year, and it was a great camp! Jason and his staff did a great job and it was well organized. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to improve as an umpire and not break the bank. Very nice hotel, nice fields, and you definitely can't beat the price. The instructors were very approachable, knowledgable,and everyone got to work a decent number of innings. I'll be back in 2014, hopefully for both camps this time!

This was my first year working high school games and loved it. Looking forward to working more and better games. Would you recommend attending camps this early or keep working on basics for a few years before jumping into camps? I have to turn in vacation requests shorty for next year and have to convince the wife that I should be spending that kind of money. I am in Kentucky so an eight hour drive is doable for Springfield.

I'm a fan of training early.......always good to get good fundamental training before any bad habits get started........go as soon as you can
