I apologize if this thread is old. BUT, I'm having trouble understanding. I understand that after three conferences in FED, the pitcher must be changed. However, does that mean a coach gets two freebies in one inning? I know in OBR the pitcher must be changed then but is that true in FED? Thanks.

Yes, he could get 2 freebies in one inning, or even 3. Some things to remember are:

If he pulls the pitcher it does not count against his freebies (if he still has freebies available)

The removed pitcher may return to pitch one of 2 ways:

The re-entry rule (provided a replacement does not throw too many warm up pitches)

Change of defensive position. F3 & F1 could theoretically alternate each time a lefty comes to bat, but not more than once per inning.
