It must have been the readjustment he made in the glove. In real time at field level, this must have looked different. I had an out on the first play but that may be the reason.

As before in a previous thread, if the players don't make it easy, things may happen. If F3 does better, then the ball gets to 2B much sooner and the throw is not off the ground.

He caught it, then adjusted it, then kept turning his glove that may have been interpreted as a further adjustment. Obviously in slow motion it wasn't but in real time it must have been what he thought.
