Little mimic

Redneck_ump's post got me thinking about our kids and how they like to mimic us. I then thought of a photo that I had taken this last spring. My daughter had found my plate brush in the garage with my gear airing out. She took it outside with her and started doing this on the ground. Think somebody has been watching her dad umpire?

I admit, my heart swelled up with pride a little bit. It's also a good reminder that our kids are always watching us.

She's bad mechanically as she has obviously left her mask somewhere else, and she's asking for trouble with the plate shoes. Awesome pic, kids are great.

My 4 year old loves to come watch me umpire. She was even showing the UIC her strike three mechanic last weekend. Her favorite part is to help me clean my shoes when I get home, Momma lets her stay up late to wait for me to get home so she can help clean my shoes. She loves to spray the Murphy's Oil, but usually gets more on myself than she does on the shoes...
