NB: Angel Hernandez joined the crew for Game 7 after Derryl Cousins left his plate assignment last night after three innings with a bruised clavicle.

really glad to hear Cousins is doing well after his shot....I havent any insight into how they do it, but there seems to be a good emergency plan in place.

A couple questions I might have are: do they have alternates already determined, and are they already on site?.

Thats a great question I'm going to work on to find out an answer to.

I think they pick them but they aren't on site. That would require them to pay them the post season game fee plus travel. I know they went to five man after Cousins went down. I didn't see him get hurt so I have no idea what happened. Evidently it was enough they replaced him.

Not wanting to pay the playoff game fee would make sense.....they went down to 5 man after the injury and had a replacement in time for the next game...

I read Angel has high on the list and lived close so he got game 7. I don't know that they got the closest or the highest on the list.
