I realize most associations and organizations use the 30/30 rule when it comes to lightning/thunder.

Somehow, I never really thought about it until last week, but...

Do any of you write down the time on your line-up card when a lightning/thunder delay occurs?

I know the time could change a lot while a storm passing through.

We have both scorekeepers document the stop time so that there is no confusion how much time is left on the clock when we start back up.

EDIT - all my games are usually on a time limit. If they weren't I would keep track of the time

I would only do this if I worked time limit games.

I do start the stopwatch (or have the umpire carrying it start it).

If I suspend for lightning I go to my truck to wait it out. My stop watch is there and I start it. Every flash or rumble gets a restart.

If I am timing a game, my watch is also a count up watch so I can stop the countdown and start the count up.
