His partner should have shut it down immediately. His partner was weak in that area. But, he did a good job of separating them.

The EJ was legit IMO. He was told what the final call was. He didn't like it and thought he could get around the original call. How things transpired afterward could have been better. The umpire should not have been bumping back. He deserves a suspension as well as the coach. He needs to learn to EJ and turn away. Who cares what the coach yells about as long as he is walking away. The umpire became the aggressor after the EJ and handled the aftermath poorly.

Your thoughts on this ejection?

From what I can see/hear on the video, horrible, in all respects.

JM

Agreed. This was a horrible display of game management. The crew is fortunate that things didn't escalate when the BU became aggresive. And the yelling across the diamond to eject the manager was the worst.

Another video of a guy I hope we just witnessed his last game.

Far too aggressive.

IMO there are extremely few situations to EJ a coach from that far away, and probably no reason to EJ when the coach is that far away and with your partner.

Well, the partner should have been warning him and EJ him if he persisted. If his partner did his job, this could have been avoided. His partner failed as much as he did. It was an all around screw up by the entire crew. It wouldn't have been done from that far away if the closer umpire did his job first. I think the EJ was earned but done poorly by both.

The only thing done correctly was the PU getting in between as quick as he did and making sure the coach was done.
