Area Code game

I have been honored by being asked to do the Area Code games at Blair Field in Long Beach CA, Aug 5-10. This is the premier talent showcase for HS athletes that want to go to the MLB. I'm still not sure what my schedule or assignment will be. I know I was given the dates, and times. But at this point I'm just honored to be asked. This just goes to show some of the great umpires in this area (semper, Dix, hickman, and others). Thank you all for your insight. I will keep you posted on the details. I know some of the games will be on espn3.com and espnU. Cheers boys

There are currently two games scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN3 on 8/9/11. If you have an XBOX 360, this is the best way to watch.

So I know for sure that I'm doing the plate for the opener of the area code games. I'm very excited since I'm partnering with one of the area college assignors. Thanks to everyone for all of the love and support. I will keep you guys updated on my other assignments. If anyone is in the area and wishes to go watch. The area code games are located at Blair Field in Long Beach CA. The opening game is Friday 8/5 at 2:45p after the combine/player interviews. Thanks again.

That is awesome. Congratulations. It just gives me more to look forward to and work hard to accomplish. For me Varsity games are my goal right now. It's really a great oppurtunity to be able to interact with such talent that we ave on this board. I really feel that this is a great tool to help me become a good umpire.
