I have this same question. Seems odd, unless something else happened on the play. i.e. the ball went the backstop and runners were advancing. Defense wanted the dead ball to keep the runners from moving up more than 1 base.

I was the UIC for my local Little League a few years back. For all my all-star umpires, I purchased shirts with the LL patch on the left sleeve, the American flag on the right sleeve, and their names embroidered a over the right breast. I can't tell you how many people "you put the flag on backwards!" Because on the right sleeve, it 'looks' backward because the stars are on the right of the flag when worn in the proper orientation.

I searched the forum, but couldn't find an answer specifically. My association doesn't have any patch requirements on uniform shirts; however, I don't like plain shirts, so I put American flag patches on the left sleeve of my shirts. I want to purchase a long sleeve shirt, but I'm not sure where to put the flag patch. Is it still standard to affix the flag to the left sleeve, or would centered on the back be more appropriate?

With my displeasure Tuesday evening, I sent an email to Honig's and also posted on their facebook page. I was out of the office yesterday, but Robert Wilson (Honig's-Colorado President) called me and left a voicemail on my desk phone. This morning, Gene Bouwman, Honig's CEO, called me personally. I ordered my shirts the day before the sale price, but they are refunding me the difference (~$25) as well as my return shipping for the 4 Smitty shirts ($12.15). They are overnighting me the proper shirts, and said I should have them in hand by 1pm tomorrow.

The CEO and President from Honig's have both called me. I'm expecting a phone call from their Denver facility to work out the details, but it sounds like they're going to overnight me 4 correct shirts at no cost. So far fantastic customer service and appreciation.

So just a word to the wise for guys on the east coast: if you order from Honig's and it goes through the Mid-Atlantic shop in Raleigh, they only carry Smitty brand and not the Honig's brand shirts. Connor was moderately helpful, said I will need to return them (they will reimburse shipping costs back to them), and they will then have a different shop send me new shirts.

I plan on calling in the morning, I'll report back afterwards. I prefer the material in the Honig's shirts. If I wanted Smitty, I certainly would've gone somewhere else that wasn't charging $17 for shipping.

Yep, nearly $150. The day my order shipped was the day they announced their sale. I called and they wouldn't price adjust. To their credit, they said they would give me store credit on my account, but couldn't tell me how much credit I would get. They also didn't grant my 10% Association discount. All-in-all, hasn't been a good encounter, and the first of my nearly dozen times ordering from them.

For the 4 shirts I just bought, I had to pay $16.95 for standard shipping.

I ordered 4 shirts from Honigs last week, 2 of their major league shirts and 2 of the pro style blue and black. All 4 honigs brand. Got them tonight, and all 4 are Smitty brand. This is the first time I've ever had an issue with Honig's. Has anyone else ever ordered Honig's shirts but received Smitty? Honigs.com doesn't even list Smitty shirts as an option.
