I catch and am not the best and have accidently got umpires hit many times. One time the ump asked me what I had on my left hand (a glove) and after my response, told me that was the only difference in our equiptment and that I had one so it is my responsibility to protect him. He didnt get hit any more You cant really eject a catcher from being bad, but i think letting the catcher know he is letting you get hit motivates them more

Here (rec) it is an automatic out and can eject at our discression. I call it a fair amount because ive seen someone get hit by the knob of a thrown bat from a good 30 feet away and need 7 stitches

Umping 6 and 7th grade, I'm only in 9th. I'm umping plate and call strike 3 on a pitch a few inches below the armpits. The coach yells "what!" from the baseline. Once the next batter comes up, he looks at me, makes a motion of swingig at a pitch multiple feet, and says something about a bat that I cant make out. I let it go until the end of the inning, when he told his team in the dugout to swing at anything even if it was over their head much louder than neccessary and I told him it was a strike and even if it wasnt, he cant argue it. Should i have tossed him?

2 outs, runner on 3rd. Batter swings at strike 3, catcher drops it. Runner advances home an touches it before the out at 1st is made. Does the run count? I had this situation and told the coaches it didnt count, and the coach tried to argue that it did count. I said no as it was a force (just like a groundout) and my partner agreed. Were we right or was he?
