About Me

How are you all doing? My name is Jay. I grew up in Fall River, Ma. I played basketball for Durfee High School and won a state championship in 1988. After I graduated I went to Jacksonville University and Played one year there as as a walk on..
I started umpiring baseball when I was 15 in my hometown as a minor league umpire. That league is kids ages 8. I fell out of umpiring baseball for a long time. Then in 2009 I decided to get back into umpiring so I joined the SMBUA in my area of southeastern Massachusetts. The SMBUA stand for Southeastern Massachusetts Baseball Umpire Association....Since then I have been doing little league, High school, AAU, American Legion, New England Elite for former Redsox pitcher Brian Rose's Team and also a wooden bat league of college kids. I have also been umpiring softball for High school and recreation leagues. My goals for baseball is do college level and the Cape Cod League..
