Wifey bought me a Champro 16 inch Pro Plus Plate Armor CP for christmas. Anyone have any experience with the CP? I was mainly wanting to use it for every level except Collegiate or Elite Travel ball. I have used their Soft Shell CP for years at youth league and like how it fits, and breathes.

I was wondering if anyone might have some suggestions on how to break into the NAIA college level for umpiring. I have done select travel ball, traveling mens leagues, and various HS and Youth leagues, and wanted to take the next step. My job would probably keep from working NCAA games, and I thought this would be a good way to move up to the next level. There are a few local colleges around here who are NAIA, and I even got the email of a regional UIC, but after two emails, I am beginning to wonder if I am doing something wrong?

Legion ball conforms a lot closer to MLB rules than most youth leagues I have worked for. In my area of the woods, Legion ball is also considered "all-star" level ball as opposed to a youth league where I work will take all types of athlete. Legion ball in my experience also has more high strung managers, more focused on win/loss where again, I have worked many youth leagues ( even babe ruth 14U ) where fundamentals and fun are stressed more.

I took advantage of their clearance sale this year and ordered 6 of the micro-mesh shirts that if you bought a pair of at a time they were only 12 a piece If I remember? I bought mainly "off" colors, cream, red, and powder with the red/blue cuff. This is my first time ordering these micro mesh shirts, anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for wear? They do not look to be the best shirts, especially around the collar, but I normally wear smitty shirts, and because these arent the traditional Navy I can't use them during HS season around here ( IN and MI ) so I don't expect to be wearing them every day. Also don't have a regular partner ( I like to travel around too much, don't like to do the same organization or team every week ) and am always at the mercy of who I am working with. I also bought a pair of their patent low cut plate shoes. They look and feel fantastic around the house. Any thoughts/suggestions? Lastly, I also bought last years model of the triple knee leg guards, the price couldnt be beat, and I thought if I liked them I would use them to replace my older Diamond guards? Any thoughts on what I bought or experiences with this equipment would be appreciated! P.S. I LOVE the smitty comfortec shirts, they are bulletproof and never snag!
