Question

Scenario: Runner on 1st, less than two outs. Blooper drops in front of F3. R1 never leaves the base thinking F3 will catch it. B/R doesn’t run it out but walks slowly towards 1B. F3 picks up the ball, tags R1 who is still standing on 1B, then steps on 1B while still holding the ball. What’s the result? OBR but same for all rule sets. (I know the correct answer but promised a fellow umpire to ask it neutrally)

Two outs. R1 was forced off 1B at the time they were tagged. BR is out for not achieving 1B before the base was tagged. This is explicitly not the same as tagging 1B and then R1. That would be on
