Ok...I was working a game last night and trying out my new (well new to me) HSM.  I took a foul ball right off the CP and was glad I had invested in a hard shell CP this off-season.  But it hit me just at the top of my CP where my throat comes out and the ball bounced up and graised my throat.  It didnt hurt me but did get me thinking...is there a throat guard made for HSM?  if so could you direct me to the site(s)?

All of my HSM have throat guards attached. I prefer the 6" because it overhangs the top of my CP and does not get caught. Others work with 4" guards. Umpire-attire.com has a page with 7 different choices. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

Has anyone that uses a HSM ever considered this type of Throat Guard?  (I know the first pic is of a LAX mask/helmet)

I know protective gear is a personal choice but if I were to walk out onto the field with something like that, I know I'd be hearing stuff from the crowd like:

"Hey, Sir Umpsalot! Give my regards to King Arthur!"

or

"Hey blue, wrong venue! The jousting tournament is in the stadium across the street!"

Carry on.

(as you may have guessed...no experience with aforementioned throat guard)
