I need an online version of Babe Ruth Rules for 2013

I have gone to the website and cannot believe you can't just download something free with no credit card verification.

1)  Does Babe Ruth follow the new "No fakes to 3rd" rule?

2a)  Does Babe Ruth allow Courtesy Runners for Pitchers/Catchers?

2b)  Since I know that's a yes, does he need to be a player not in the lineup?

2c)  If a team is batting all 9 and have no subs, can they use the last batted out?

3)  I know Cal Ripken added the EH.  Did Babe Ruth add it as an option as well?

4)  Is there a Force-Play-Slide-Rule in Babe Ruth?

5)  Is there a malicious contact rule in Babe Ruth?

Posted

1) it is not mentioned in the rule book because it was printed before the rule was in place so it depends on a local rule 2) Babe Ruth does not use courtesy runners 3) Babe Ruth uses an EP but it can be EH depending on local rules 4 and 5) there is no must slide rule but MC is still an auto EJ Hope this helps!

The third to first is NOT a balk this year in BR.  Next year it hopefully will be.

A humble suggestion from a non-umpire:  Stop calling it third to first.  First has absolutely nothing to do with the balk -- the rule is you can't feint to third from the pitcher's plate.

(So you can still go third-to-first so long as you step off before the feint; and it is a balk to feint to thrid from the plate, even if there is only an R3. Calling it third-to-first is not only likely to get umpires thinking about it wrong, but using that terminology so coaches can here it will cause the creation of new myths -- and there are enough old myths already.)

What many coach's/managers do we do allow for free subs to go in in spring/fall ball...   There no rule that you must slide there two options.

 4. slide or avoid interference.  5. mc would be a judgment by umpire if they feel that it was intentional.    I know the rules... state that you have to pretty much use a sub for players. But many leagues have local rules free subs for pitchers/catchers.
