Got a copy of this and noticed they are carrying the Wilson charcoal shin guards now - at $109!! Are they nuts? Who makes these decisions???

Looks like they are also carrying a Honig's version of the ThermaBase jacket in black with white piping only and a Honig's version of the Majestic black & powder cool base shirts. Interesting.

FWIW, I made this particular decision.  These are the version with the same removeable padding as the West Vest pro model.  Wilson's list price $150, Suggested Retail is $119.  We set our retail at $109, which is on the high side, especially compared to the discount baseball sites, but knock off an ABUA or NASO discount, and they're under $100.

However, there is confusion when comparing, because Wilson made upgrades to this product but did not change the Stock #.  A description will have the stock number as WTA3417, but a picture of the "old" style.

I know Jim has them listed for $79.99, but he shows "list" price at $100, which lead me to believe it might not have been the same product.  If it is, that's a very good deal.

Shirts are going to be coming in late.  Probably won't have them until the beginning of March.

Wilson's 2013 Spring Dealer Workbook has the updated stock photo. A few years ago, the padding was upgraded to be the same as the black triple knee Wilson leg guards and the instep plate was changed and attached with velcro for easy removal (unlike the black A3049 triple knee model which are riveted on). This wasn't a recent change.

UA also has the stock photo showing the new padding as well.

Wilson's list prices on all of their items are grossly high and out of reality - their list prices for the Wilson Gold is $275, $250 for the Platinum, and $375 for the Titanium mask. At those prices, you could pretty much buy two of each from retailers.

UA also has a number of 10% discounts, so apples to apples you could make the argument that these cost $72. I think thats a pretty fair price for these. I like Honig's for the most part, but I think this is a bit off. Who knows, though, you guys might sell a ton of them. Your Poly Wools are still the standard and the prosoft shirts are great.

Understood.  and please believe me, I know what "list" price is.  It has some, but little bearing on what an item should be sold for....it's the starting point for determining wholesale cost to their dealer network.  But regardless of what discount level a dealer might purchase something at, "list" is the same.

Again, $79 is not a fair price...it's a very good price.  So obviously  $72 is even better.

And Chris......I've got a buyer lined up if you want to make a package deal of that mizuno with your Power! LOL!
