Play at first, giants first baseman drops the ball and has it roll to the dugout. first base umpire Ed Hickox (sp) punches him out, as the ball is fading away to the dugout, and then about 10 seconds later signals safe.

We have been tearing into the LL ump who did this, know one of the pros has done the SAME THING if not worse. No vid up yet, but im sure by the PM hours saturday there will be video on youtube, you can also see this on sportscenter.

Saw that, too (ESPN replay) - he was jumping out of his skin to make the call, which was going to be a banger. Yep, even the big boys do it. But I daresay at a far lesser rate than we've seen on LLWS.
