High School Season Finished

After many meetings and clinics and studying and hard work my High School Season is finished!

Worked my First District 3-Man game last week. I can say that it went well. After studying 3-man mechanics and volunteering to work other games for free to get 3-man practice in it payed off. My rotations went well. I'm in my second season of working HS Ball and my 2 partners for the game were very good seasoned veterans. They both complemented me on my work. They said I was the best newbie at 3-man that they had worked with. They did say I was a little jumpy trying to anticipate but it would go away with practice.

Now is time to move on to more Travel Ball and Tournaments.

Three man is tough when you have to think what to do instead of just reacting. It will come but it takes practice. I was doing U1 and was struggling to go foul to watch the touch instead of pivoting. Well the U3 goes down the line on a fair/foul, possible HR and roll foul and admired how good he looked going down the line. As the runner rounded first I realize, crap, I should be at second. As I start to take off I see my PU busting across the mound. Practice,practice, practice!
