Sort of along the same lines of my last question. Our L.L. district decides to have a Jr. TOC tournament, they give a time limit but you must complete 5 innings. Home team is ahead 5-4 going into the bottom of 5. Not quite time so home team goes to bat. They score 4 more and go past time, no outs. So I'm about to call the game when the District Admin running the tournament tells me they need to finish and record three outs. I'm trying to tell him, no that it would just revert back to the bottom of 5 and win 5-4, if the coach wishes to forfeit his at bats, ( thought I read that some where) think I could have just ended the game but I had to give the guy something. Did I make this up or did I really read this some where, high school, travel ball, L.L. there are so many slight veriations that I'm fogeting.

HT is ahead in bottom of inning.

Time limit is reached.

Game is ended.

Check LL Rulebook Page T-19 #13.

Game must be played to point of regulation game.

4 1/2 innings for Juniors.

This another example of people making local rules and no idea what they are doing. Ask your DA what would happen if you were pushing dark and the HT goes ahead in the bottom of the fifth? You stop the game and it's complete. The same is true with a mercy situation. Ten runs in the bottom of the fifth but no outs equals a complete game. Why would a time limit any different? The rule should have said it has to get to a game ending situation after time limit.
