I am a HS umpire/referee from VA. I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with my wife of 16 years, 14 yr old daughter who knows everything and the 2 best stepchildren a man could ask for. Recently my stepdaughter made me a grandfather.:D

I have called LL in the past but only HS now. I work Baseball, Softball, Basketball and have now taken on Volleyball. A glutton for punishment I guess.

I have been in law enforcement :o for 16+ years - so when I'm not calling, I'm still dealing with irate people.

Anyway, I love this site and appreciate all the hard work that goes into it.

We're glad to have you here. Your so lucky to be in the Shenandoah. I love that area I use to love visiting my brother at VMI because everywhere is so beautiful. You also have great Valley League baseball.

Pleased to have you on board. Grandfather,eh? Welcome to my club. A whole new world!! My wife and I are raising 3. If you're looking for the fountain of youth, that's the way to go. No time for aches and pain, no AARP vacations, no "age related" issues.(Even if they do exist.) The Shenandoah Valley is kinda God's way of showing off, if you ask me. Lucky you. Best Regards, Jack

Welcome to the site!

I am only 28 but I am looking forward to being a grandparent. Once my parent became grandparent they: built onto their house, built a pool, put in a hot tub, (dad)got a motorcycle, plays golf almost everyday, and they feed the kids ANYTHING they want ANYTIME they want...then laugh when we pick them up at 8pm and say, 'They just had a bunch of sugar', just to name a few. However, they have said it is the best time of their lives because they enjoy or see things with the grand kids that they missed with their own kids.

I have heard that the reason grand kids and grand parents get along so well is because they share a common enemy!:o
