Wilson West Gold CP Sizes

I am looking into getting a Gold pretty soon. They come in 3 sizes

I am a 44-46 size

What will fit better the:

1. M-L (38-44)

2. L-XL (46-54)

I don't want it too big but not too tight either.

I would correspond with Jim Kirk at Ump-Attire. I'm sure he could give you some good advice. He has some quality info on his site about the sizing of the Gold.

I think I read somewhere on his site that most of the Gold CPs that are returned are because the buyer decided they wanted a larger model.

FWIW, I'm a 44 and wear a L/XL that fits fine.

I personally would get the M-L and return it if it is too snug (although ump-attire.com says to size up if in doubt), I'd be afraid that the larger one would be a challenge to fit correctly given your size.

I'm 6'0''/200 with a 45-inch chest and an 18-inch neck. I took that same advice and sized down. Well, I couldn't even get the M/L around my neck, so I had to sell it and get a L/XL, which was snug, but workable.

If you have a 16 or 16.5-inch neck, you might try the M/L with a 44-inch chest; but if it's 17 or larger, you'll be returning it. And, to be honest, spending $24 in shipping costs to try on a CP is not my idea of a shrewd purchase.

I recently got the L/XL and it's great. I'm a 44, and I have the CP snug fitting. It took a bit of adjusting, but if I would have gone w/ the M/L, I'd have had a helluva time making it larger to fit me.
