  1. Well, I got some astounding news yesterday. My wife and father-in-law have made the list for Honor Flight Michigan's June 6th flight to Washington DC to visit the World War II Memorial!! How special is that?! My father-in-law will be 90 years old on Sunday, and I've heard the stories, felt the horror, seen his eyes water up during a discussion, and seen BOTH of his Purple Heart medals. Yes, both. Even through his stroke from 1997 that fortunately only makes it difficult to communicate, he can still tell a story! SWMBO texted me the news yesterday while at work, and when I got home the first thing I said was ..."can you believe it?" She started crying, thanking me for the extra phone call and email to get them on the list, and we hugged it out There's not many of these fine gentlemen left in the world, and unfortunately, the World War II memorial was the last to be produced, and obviously my father-in-law has never been. http://www.wwiimemorial.com/ I'm very happy and excited for both of them, and I'm very honored as well. http://honorflightmichigan.com/photos_and_video.html
