  1. Hmm. So when I bought a pair of plate pants in charcoal gray and base pants in charcoal gray they should at least be the same color?! This!
  2. Agreed this is on Smitty!
  3. Thanks, Richvee. I may just have to do this. Sad that Ump-Attire can't do the exchange correctly. And yes, totally ugly, why in the world did they introduce these!?
  4. Ah, thanks for linking that thread, it did not come up in my search!
  5. I'm struggling with Ump-Attire and am looking for help sorting an issue. I ordered two pairs of Smitty Poly Spandex pants in charcoal gray. One was a pair of plate pants. One was a pair of the new tapered base pants. They are totally different colors. In the picture, the plate pants, on the right, are the charcoal I expected, and the base pants are the lighter, textured ones. I am required to wear charcoal so I went about getting them replaced. I've tried working with Ump-attire customer service, but they just say send the base pants back and we'll send you the correct ones. I've done that twice, with notes explaining, and I'm back where I started with a light gray textured version of the tapered pants. Before I send them back a third, I wanted to ask for your help. My questions: Am I going crazy or does Ump-Attire keep screwing up? In other words, is this lighter gray textured base pant (tag has SMITTYBBS364CG34) just the new charcoal gray for the tapered version of the pant (and I need to order the standard pant to get "true" charcoal)? Or am I getting sent a new version of "Textured Poly Spandex Fabric Matches Polyester Pant Color" and that is why it is lighter? Or is this actually the heather gray? Has anyone gotten these tapered base pants in a true charcoal? Thank you for any insight you may have!!
  6. Those are beauts!!
  7. Ah, bummer, thanks!
  8. Nice! Using Google, I find winter Neumanns but they seem to be tackified. Is this a problem? Or do you have a different model (do you have a link or model?). Thanks!
  9. I'm looking for a warm glove (March in New England, so like for temps in the 30s) that leaves dexterity for using an indicator, writing, handling baseballs, etc. Has anyone tried the Frost Gear throwing glove? If so, would you buy a left or a right hand?! https://frostgear.com/collections/baseball-glove-products/products/new-cold-weather-throwing-glove Or, i'm happy to hear if you have found the perfect glove. Thanks!
  10. Cool, thank you. There were so many moving parts on the first five or so questions, it stressed me out!
  11. Thanks, all, this is a helpful discussion! Here is one I felt was tricky: Runner on second base (R2), two outs. B3, the offensive team’s best hitter, is the next batter. As B3 arrives at home plate, the catcher tells the home plate umpire that they wish to walk B3 intentionally. At the same time as this conversation, R2 takes off for third base and is safe without a throw. It seems that this comes down to PU not calling "Time," which keeps the play live and R2 reaches third base legally. This is reasonable since the IBB request came from the catcher instead of the head coach (2-7). So after the steal, there still has not been a legal request for IBB. PU should ask the head coach if they want the IBB. Am I thinking about this correctly?
