  1. Had a friend send me this and ask the question.. so I will post it here Is this a legal delivery?
  2. For clarification .. I am talking about when they come set.
  3. Ok... I just think it is a rather overwhelming advantage. In this position the pitcher's body (shoulders and all) between home and first at a 45 degree angle. The plate mechanics I could care less... the ability to move to first has been greatly opened up. Sure MS.. he still has to gain ground... but barely from this set position. Very small step, very little body movement, etc etc 8.02B says the free foot or stride foot has to be in front of the pitcher's plate. Does this mean in front of the plane of the rubber, or in front of the plate itself?
  4. Brian Does this not give a major advantage to the RHP with a runner on 1st?
  5. RHB COmes set or in the stretch. Pivot foot in contact with rubber. Left foot or stride foot outside of the plane of the rubber.. somewhat like a 45 degree angle (maybe less) between first and home. I say this is an ILLEGAL position according to 8.02 B What say you?
  6. Waiting for Courtesy Runner because the Coach hasn't got them ready.
  7. I would much rather hear the whining and griping of a coach than to hear the grieving of parents.

    Out at first

Ask him to bring the book and show you.
  10. Then take it out of the freaking CASE BOOK already.
  11. IF F3 was off the bag to get the throw and then touched the bag after receiving the throw, under NFHS rules this is an out. By F3 touching the bag he is making the appeal.
  12. At one of the parks I umpire at there is a sign as you walk in. Choose One and One Only Coach Player Fan Umpire
