I may be over thinking this. Because I am looking at the bases being loaded. Does R2 actually have to run? It is only 2 outs at the time, the initial out as stated, then out 2 being the fly. So he isnt forced is he? Does the run count, would this be a timing play and yes the run scores?

With bases loaded and one out, B1 hits a long fly ball to right field. R3 tags on the play and attempts to score. R2 has gone partway and retreats to second base. The throw comes into second base doubling R2 off the bag just after R3 scores. Does the run count? YES/NO

Yes but he did step to 3rd picks his foot up again and turns to step to second then throws to second

Kid nearly steps in place but it was very short to third with ball up but does not pump his hand, then he turns to second to pick off as a normal pick off play where he raises his name then turns around and throws to second if that makes sense

Ok question if this a balk call. Runners on 2nd and 3rd Pitcher steps gaining minimal ground to 3rd pauses for about .5 sec with foot on pitcher plate, ball in throwing motion , just behind his ear. Then whirls around to throw at runner on second, with foot is on pitcher's plate... Is this a balk? THanks in advance

Yes I can see how important it is for the mechanics. I ordered the mechanic books. I am going to see if I can get some work in Friday doing our middle school vs. 9th grade scrimmage at our high school. I want to get as much practice as I can. I went to a scrimmage last night just to watch. I noticed coaches from both teams out on their buckets during the game. That seems to be a point of emphasis this year of not allowing that.

So is the issue is the wording ? Also 1st base is NOT a force play? Another question/scenario: Bases loaded 1 out. BR hits line drive to left field. R3 scores, R 2 scores, r1 misses 2nd Base ends up on 3rd, BR ends up on 2nd. Defense successfully appeals. Do the runs count? I've been studying so much seems like it's running together on me. This will be my first year being an umpire after being a hsfb coach of 23 years. Always been amazed by umpires. But any how. I've taken and passed the exam. But I still study every night and during my plan period. I'm taking this online quiz here is the question: Bases loaded 2 outs. BR walks. Catcher gets the ball throws it to first ball goes to right field. R3 and R2 score, r1 to the third BR goes to 2nd. Defense appeals that BR missed first. How many runs scored, zero right?
