Hello-
Strike Four here. I am not a current umpire, and it's been some years since umpiring American Legion ball.
The other day, during the SF Giants game in Washington DC while playing against the Nationals, during the Giant's half inning, Jake Peavy and then close to follow , Tim Hudson , pitchers for SF, were ejected by umpire Paul Emmel for having said that Nationals pitcher, Stephen Strasburg, wasn't coming to a full stop in windup.
I just want to know why, or what reasoning was applied , what "rule", or code was broken to to vex Mr Emmel to toss not one, but both pitchers for just speaking in the dugout.
Does anyone have all the facts on this to enlighten me
Much thanks
