Boy this is great....look at rule 9c....I believe that's the rule.....basically that rule says umpire is god....LOL

I never said deception is one of the balk rules. I said deception is the purpose of the balk rule(s) Either way its hard to call to make. Thanks for commenting on that guys.

The leaning towards home and not delivering to home is deception to the base runner (which is the purpose of the balk rule). It is very hard call to make when you are in the B position of a two man crew. I've only made that call once but it was extremely obvious.

Hello all! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Victor and I am located in Gloucester Virginia. If you are not sure where that is, it is very close to the Virginia beach area and contains a lot good baseball. I have umpired for the past 15 years in little league, Babe ruth and High school. I started out umpiring in New jersey and have continued to umpire in Virginia when I moved here 7 years ago. I coach my son in youth leagues as well as his travel baseball team. I've played baseball at competitive levels my entire life and when I realized I could go no farther as a player, I decided to turn to the dark side and become a umpire.
