  1. I like the Gump Worsley hockey mask.
  2. An indicator on the bases? That's a big no-no. The count is PU's job, and the outs are confirmed by all umpires (with signals) at least as often as every batter. BU has no need for an indicator.
  3. You may wish to delete either the "no" or the "not." The way it reads now, all information on this site is to be taken as medical advice.
  4. I cringe when I see 12 year-olds throw curveballs.
  5. You've just told players from both teams that you are choosing sides. Is that what you want? That is being intentionally inconsistent. Is that the reputation you want? Maybe not, but it could have. Suppose the batter hit a walk-off homer on the next pitch (the one that was going to be your FYC). Now what does "your friend" F2 think? A player who should have been dumped just cost his team the game. You now have lost credibility with both teams. If you want to send a message, dump the batter. Do you think he will "get it" any more by allowing him to stay? My bottom line on the FYC: don't do it. If he crosses the line, toss him on the spot. The message can't be any clearer.
  6. I will also give a verbal "no catch." B/R and F2 are the ones that need to know the pitch was not caught, and they are both in front of me. Also, if I ball a check swing on X-2 count (when B/R can advance on a DTS), I will immediately go to my partner for help on the swing without being asked.
