I am trying to locate new pair of plate shoes in smaller sizes - Mens 51/2 or 6. I have a pair of Honigs patent leather, but almost warn out. My preference would not be patent leather.. If anyone has any knowledge would appreaciate it. Fiona

Not all of Australia is nice, I am from Victoria, and actually live in a regional area along the coast which is lovely! Sorry dont know Warren, he is probably from another state. Regards Fiona

Basically we can umpire all year round in Victoria, Oz. Summer season goes from October to March (3 week break over xmas). Can included mid week games, as well as both Saturday and Sunday - all double headers. Winter season from April to September. Winter games are only on weekends - all double headers - about 21 rounds. Get one or 2 weeks break in between seasons.

Hi all, My name is Fiona, and came across this site while sitting in my hotel room in Florida. Enjoying a little of Florida's winter sun before I attend the Jim Evans Professional School. I have only been involved in the sport of baseball for about 11 years, but in that time have played, scored, umpired and administrated during that time. But certainly enjoy the umpiring aspect of the game. Tookup umpiring about 4 years ago after attending a weekend training school. Since then I have been fortunate enough to be able to attend a couple of other training camps and learnt from some of the best in Oz (who have learnt from Jim). In my short time umpiring I have umpired at Regional, State and National level, as well as umpiring on a regular basis during our summer and winter seasons.
