International Umpires Camp Day 1

So I drove from my mother's house in Easley, SC down to Atlanta in the rain. I arrived at the hotel plenty early and relaxed until the class work began.

We got registered and began the in class session. Tony Thompson made some announcements and Paul Nauert started going over a 2 man mechanics overview. We then began covering the rotation situations in a 3 man system.

Nauert was an excellent instructor. He was speaking extemporaneously and with a lot of passion. He actually reminded me of a preacher, a good one which keeps you going along with him for the whole sermon.

Brian Reilly assisted Paul in the instruction and gave some great insight as to how they want things called in MiLB.

Here in the Atlanta Area they've been dealing with a ton of rain. We won't be working out of Oglethorpe University but Kennesaw State. I was really impressed to see thay had a number of contengency plans in place to deal with the rain.

I'll make a post each day letting you know what is going on.
