HP Umpire Emil Jimenez ejected Mariners manager Dan Wilson (denied ABS challenge/strike three call to Julio Rodríguez; QOCN) in the bottom of the 6th inning of the #Rays-#Mariners game. With two out and none on, Mariners batter Rodríguez took a 0-2 sinker from Rays pitcher Steven Matz for a called third strike. Rodríguez attempted to challenge the call by tapping his helmet after the call, but HP Jimenez denied his request. Replays indicate the strike was located over the outer edge of home plate and at the midpoint (px 0.76, pz 3.48 [sz_top 3.38 / RAD 3.50]), but that the challenge request was immediately after the strike three call, the call was incorrect.* At the time of the ejection, the Rays were leading, 3-1. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 3-2.
