Lindsay Posted yesterday at 06:45 AM Report Posted yesterday at 06:45 AM HP Umpire Manny Gonzalez ejected Nationals manager Blake Butera (obstruction no-call; QOCY) in the top of the 7th inning of the #Nationals-#Phillies game. With none out and one on, Nationals batter Brady House hit a 2-2 changeup from Phillies pitcher Kyle Backhus on the ground to catcher Garrett Stubbs, who threw to 3B Alec Bohm to retire Nationals baserunner R3 Nasim Nuñez as a collision occurred between runner and catcher. Replays indicate runner Nuñez initiated contact with the catcher by intentionally kicking at his legs and that the catcher accordingly did not obstruct the runner, the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Nationals were leading, 3-0.
