1B Umpire Tyler Jones ejected Red Sox pitching coach Andrew Bailey (check swing ball call to Anthony Volpe) in the top of the 9th inning of the #Yankees-#RedSox game. With none out and none on, Yankees batter Volpe attempted to check his swing on a 2-1 slider from Red Sox pitcher Aroldis Chapman, ruled a ball by HP Umpire Todd Tichenor and affirmed as no swing on appeal by 1B Umpire Jones. At the time of the ejection, the Red Sox were leading, 6-3. The Red Sox ultimately won the contest, 6-3.

This is Tyler Jones (39)'s 1st ejection of 2026.
