Back in the Saddle

Hello, All! I started umpiring as a twelve year old doing the younger OTA games. As I got older, I added in Babe Ruth, HS, Adult leagues and then was away from the diamond for the last 12 years. My son is now in LL and I am a coach for his team. Our coaches are expected to help umpire the other divisions games and I jumped right in. I am now doing 3-4 games/week plus coaching my kid and loving every minute of it. I will do all I can locally this summer and I just made contact with our HS association and will be adding that next year, hopefully after attending Wendlestedt Academy. My GF says she hasn't seen me this happy before...Nice to find a group to share my enthusiasm with and be able to catch up quickly.
