I was working a game a couple of weeks ago which was a great game until about the 5th inning when the home team blew the game open. I had been calling the pitch a few inches off the corner a strike all night with no complaints. All of a sudden in the sixth the VT thought it was terrible and started chirping from the stands. There was this loud mouth woman on VT side yelling after every pitch. It didn't bother me except that she sounded like Edith Bunker. I was just waiting to here her say " Archie he keeps calling that a strike. " or something like that.

Anyway she got even louder in the 7th and I'm setting there laughing inside when I hear a man's voice from the HT side say " For Christ's sakes Edith sit down and shut up." The whole park erupted in laughter and I couldn't remove my mask for a while because I didn't want them to see me laughing.
