Hi - ump question for you, if there is a runner on third and the batter gets four balls and does a continuous walk to second, but stops on her way to second because she thinks she might get out at second because catcher or pitcher threw the ball to second, can the batter go back to first? 10u Girls Softball

Yep! Continuous motion only applies when the pitcher has the ball in the circle AND isn't making a play on a runner. It's fair game when the ball isn't in the circle.

Well, funny thing is that I grew up in your backyard (concord, CA) and played little league at C.V.L.L. , unfortunately the beer might have to wait a bit cuz i’ve been living in Philly for the past 30years. Thanks for your help. Go CVHS Ugly Eagles! (I’ve heard they aren’t UGLY anymore though).
