Certainly, but it does mean he can no longer CR for the pitcher. Another player can then become the new CR.

He certainly may as long as his only participation in the game to that point has been as a (legal) CR, and, as you point out, has not already CR'd in that half inning.

You have to defer to your State Guidelines as a CR does not exist in Fed Rules unless adopted by the State Association as a speed up rule.

Thanks for the input. I'm afraid I might have kicked this one, but I did not get any argument nor did it effect the outcome of the game. This doesn't happen that often so I'll file this one away and will get it right next time.
