I'm looking for new shin guards. I currently have Davishins, and have been using them in one version or another for about 8 years. It's time for a change, though, as I'm getting sick of their bulkiness. So, if anyone has any shins for sale, I'm interested, but (of course) I have certain needs.

  • 17"
  • Need to handle high-level pitching (90s)
  • I use a Gerry Davis stance, so I'd prefer single-knee

Now, I'm thinking the System Seven single-knee would work, but would also be interested in the Champro hockey-style. However, I do not know if the Champro would handle that speed.

Thanks in advance.

The single knee All-Star System Sevens are the answer. There are a lot of other good shin guards out there, don't get me wrong, but IMHO, the S7s are the way to go.

I have them and my legs have never felt more protected. I've taken everywhere from 60-mid 90s off of them, never felt a thing. They're not too bulky and fit great under true plate pants. They feature an extra shin insert pad that is great, and a knee pad that is awesome, the "patella plus." They breath well, and you can remove the extra pads and wash them! And the straps/system is really nice too. Highly recommend, love them.
