If it happens on the third strike is batter out and no dropped third strike?

With the ball dead upon hitting the batter, there is no opportunity for the strike to be caught or not.  No U3k.  Dead ball strike, yer out.

I recently saw a game end on that call . . . losing coach was incensed that U (correctly) wouldn't let his BR try to make it to first . . .
