Please note specifically the last 2 posts... One from a guy named Pol Pot :tantrum:

"You want to make a coach mad, call the balk on the pitcher taking sings while off the rubber. I call it every time, and I get every excuse in the book, from scratching an itch to positioning the fielders (while he's down in a crouch, with his hand between his legs)."

Discuss, then bang head against wall with me.

I don't know if that is a HS forum and I can't seem to figure out how to register for the time being. But, the F3 in foul territory part is only a balk in HS if it is even there. Not in any other rule set. Just wanted to clarify b/c I didn't see a mention of FED rules. Otherwise, everyone on that thread is incorrect.

And, it appears it is mainly coaches who love to perpetuate myths anyway or umpires who have not taken the time to come to forums like this to learn.

Mr. Ump,

I am not sure it is worth your time to get access to the site, but thanks for the support. If Pol Pot is an umpire, well, see my post above.

I know. Calling a balk for taking signs off the rubber. Exactly why myths live still.

I know, but some myths do die don;t they, like Al Gore creating the Internet? :meditation::shrug::agasp_::Horse: :Horse: :Horse:
