A first for me - 1/2 inning no called balls or strikes

Top of the first inning 11U game:

B1: foul, foul, swinging strike

B2: hit first pitch for a single

B3: foul, 2 swinging strikes

B4: swinging strike, groundout

I mentioned it to the VT coach between innings later and his comment was that they tell their kids constantly that they are up there to hit. Helped that both team's pitchers were pounding the zone. Unfortunately, the game quickly unraveled but the first inning made my night. HT (who was an underdog) won 9-7 and we got in 6 full innings in 1:35.

I can't tell you how many times I've had three-pitch, three out half-innings.

When I was coaching/managing, I would tell my players that anytime we got a three-pitch, three out inning, I would owe everyone a dollar.

I think I still owe those guys a few $... :P

I have had a few of those 3 pitch 3 out innings.

Yesterday in Adult ball I had:

1st Pitch = 1st Out

2nd Pitch = 2nd Out

3rd Pitch Foul

4th Pitch = 3rd Out.

F1 walks off the hill saying that was quick.

In a Jr LL game, I had a 3-pitch, a 4-pitch and a 5-pitch half inning... 2-1 final; we were done with 7 in 1:20 minutes.
