Yesterday, ... 18u Pastime Tournament ..... R1, no outs, count is 1-0 .... Pitch comes in .... foul tip, ... F2 fires down to first to try and get F1 leading off too much ..... As F2 readies and fires .... the batter (who was their pitcher) says ... "I tipped that" and watches the play on R1 at first, then looks back at me as I finish my foul tip mechanic ..... he says it again "I tipped that" .....I said ..." I know" ....he keeps staring, so I say the only thing I can think of that he's confused about is .... "that's a live ball" ........... batter, surprised ... "OH, ...really?" I nod and say ..."yes sir"
