Well, last night was my first game with a different association, ...one I've added to get more games. I had been recommended to this association by an old friend and little league coach of mine from way back, and I actually umpired with him in the early 90's. I got the recommendation after he found me on facebook last Fall. Well, I wound up bringing my primary partner into the group as well, and we both had games on different fields in the same complex. The UIC was watching the fields and between the 3rd and 4th inning I hear " hey Jeff, ...come here, quick" ....I turned, saw my UIC and approached the backstop ... He says: "I just wanted to let you know that I'm more than impressed with what I see ....(from both of us),..far exceeded my expectations....I wish I had more guys like you" WOW .... that, I didn't expect, but needless to say, it made my night! :D
