Hi I am Michael. I will calling baseball for the first time this year. I am sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I did some searching, and did not find it. I need some guidance on gear. Are there any brands to stay away from. Is it better to buy cheap for the first year, then up grade later, or should I just bite the bullet and spent the money now? I think I have chest and lags figured out. But, when I look at masks, I am overwhelmed!! Where do I start? I think I want a non-hockey style. Beyond that what should I look for? Thank you

I want your old stuff. This is my first year. I will be calling JV and Varsity games. I would like a hard shell chest protector, some leg guards, and a mask. I also will need a baby blue and a black shirt...med....is that a normal med or is is adjusted assuming I am wearing a chest pad? I am a small guy. I measured my chest at 36 inches. I will also need all those little things like pitch counter, ball bags, and brush. My chapter is asking me to get grey pants, so if any of you have grey pants in a 32 waist, let me know how much. If I have forgot something let me know I am really looking forward to this season, just ned to get some gear.
