  1. Is there a limitation to the number of innings which can elapse before a pitcher may return to the mound? Example - player pitches the 4th and 5th innings complete, then takes LF in the 6th and remains there. Then later in the middle of the 8th, could he come in to pitch? i don't see anything in OBR indicating anything against this, except maybe the comment about how the pitcher can only go to another position once in an inning or subsequent inning. Can you help? Thanks!
