So, I assume after the play, MSU coach is arguing for batter interference with all of the officials meeting with him instead of the umpire interference that was called. My question is, does umpire interference trump batter interference?

Hi all, I officiate NFHS football in Mississippi, but love baseball and my kids have played competitively in it at times. My oldest now plays in high school. I quit traveling ball with my 11 year old because I was tired. Anyways, that's my baseball experience. I enjoy reading the forums.

Close. It would have been 1st and goal from the half-yard line or closer. Definitely need to take a look at the wording of the rule. Good call, stupid rule is how I see it.
